- C’est l’une des réalités les plus courantes et les plus coûteuses d’aujourd'hui : la difficulté à accéder de façon efficace à la masse importante d’information stockée chaque jour et la mettre à disposition de tous les utilisateurs qui en ont besoin au quotidien. Imaginez que cette information et toutes les bases de données réunies dans un coffre – toute votre organisation sait ou elle se trouve mais personne n’a de moyen efficace pour l’utiliser. Cela ralentit l’ensemble de votre activité et devient un obstacle pour générer un ROI sur les différents investissements réalisés en matière transactionnelle. Nous sommes au coeur de la BI.
- Les niveaux d’information sont différents à chaque échelon de l’entreprise All levels of the organization must be connected by information to close the loop between goals, metrics, people and performance. Executive management wants highlights, trends, metrics and goal based management The next levels down need access not just to the metrics, but the ability to dig to understand why, determine root cause and impacts. They requir analytics and ad-hoc capabilities And those on the front line need the best possible information, dashboards and reports to service customers and deliver results This ensure all levels are aligned to top line goals
- QlikView features two significant innovations: QlikView offers an associative view of information. As users click through, QilkView shows them three things: what they’ve selected, what is associated with the selection, and what is excluded (or not associated). Traditional analysis tools only show what you’ve selected (queried). Association more closely mirrors the way the human mind works, as people think in a non-linear path driven by building associations. [Example: Mary worked with Joe, who was part of company A… which reminds me I should call Bob, who also worked at Company A.] QlikView operates on data held entirely in memory. QlikView loads data from underlying sources into a computer’s random access memory (RAM) and calculates metrics ‘on the fly’ as the user performs ad hoc, point-and-click analysis. This has a number of advantages: flexibility to change and modify analysis on the fly; extremely fast, interactive visual UI; and capitalization on 64 bit server hardware to handle massive data volumes. To fit large amounts of data into memory, QlikView compresses (typically 10:1) data as it is brought into memory. When combined these two innovations enable what we have come to call “the power of simplicity”.
- To help you better understand the difference between the traditional approach to BI and QlikView approach, let’s compare: On the left is the traditional approach. Most solutions require a stack of various tools that are often confusing to understand, difficult to piece together, complex to operate and expensive to implement. On the right is the QlikView approach. QlikView brings together all elements of BI – data extraction, query, analytic applications, dashboards, and reports – into a single integrated application that is end-user driven, only takes minutes to change given its flexibility and in the end delivers a low total cost of ownership.
- To address information challenges, QlikView creates a ”single version of the truth” and allows organizations to distribute this information in any desired format, including Dashboards, Analysis and Reporting, to all levels of decision-making throughout any distributed enterprise.
- To address performance and information challenges, QlikView supports a broad array of solutions throughout the organization - - from providing a balanced scorecard approach to execution for the management team to driving improved operational effectiveness across the major functional areas of the organization. QlikView also represents a platform allowing customers to quickly deliver solutions for financial controlling and compliance management. QlikView creates a single version of the truth and allows organizations to distribute this information in any desired format, including Dashboards, Analysis and Reporting, to all levels of decision-making throughout any distributed enterprise. As we have mentioned, these are just a sampling of the solutions our customers are delivering with QlikView. [NOTE TO PRESENTER: this is a good time for you to pause and engage the audience around their needs in any or all of these areas. At the very least, it’s a good time to encourage the audience to think about where in their organization they might benefit the most from QlikView.]
- In summary, we think that there are a number of advantages of why QlikView is the best solution to meet your challenges – specifically it’s fast time to value or speed of deployment, ease of use, flexibility and low TCO / High ROI – all driven from a single integrated solution. Although we have shared with you a demonstration of our solution and highlighted a number of customers experiencing QlikView, there is no better way to experience QlikView than through a Seeing is Believing (SIB) workshop. A SIB is best described as a mini project in which you get to see and experience QlikView first hand with your own company’s data. It is not a full production project with requirements and delivery. Rather it should be seen as a quick and low risk opportunity to get an insight into the business value your company could realize by deploying QlikView. Let’s walk through the steps of the SIB from what needs to be provided to how we engage and what you receive in the end. Again, there is no better way to experience the power and simplicity of QlikView than through a SIB. We hope we can move forward to the next step. - Now that we have a better understanding of your organization’s business analysis needs, I would like to now do a solution demonstration. Some of the new rules that I hope will become powerfully clear in the demonstration are: -Fast Implementation – the ability to work with our customers to have them live in less than 30 days -Easy To Use – the application is quite intuitive and visually interactive -Powerful – in analyzing large data volumes, calculating aggregates in memory, and drilling down to the transaction level detail – all in near instant response times -Flexible – allowing unlimited dimensions and measures that can be modified in seconds -Integrated – providing dashboards, analysis and reporting in a single solution and architecture -Low Cost – a solution based on simplifying analysis; and a solution based on software rather than a consulting model -Risk Free – allowing anyone to download a fully functional version of QlikView to see its value [NOTE TO PRESENTER: this slide is meant to set the stage for a demo, which is prompted in the following slide. This same slide follows the demo prompt slide, allowing you to review what you had told them prior to the demo and, hopefully, showed them in the demo.]
