Lessons Learned • The RCE-Ilocos established through the recognition by the United Nations University-Japan in 2008 to promote education on sustainable development (ESD) and continuing its efforts in framing education and research on sustainability science in the northern part of the Philippines; • Initiatives to established collaborative networks in education for sustainable development such as RCE-Ilocos expand its worldwide engagement on science and technology; and • National and international programs of building network of networks in ESD is important for the mobility of faculty and students toward human capital development Together we ACHIEVE! Key Message • Building network of network such as RCE-Ilocos with other 145++ RCE worldwide is a wide-ranging network linking: – current networks of universities, – industries, government agencies, entities and – research institutions, empowering collaboration that will utilize their particular strengths of its members more meritoriously, is worthy of emulation for capital human development; and • Such will be a continuing activity for ESD towards attainment of SDGs.
