Comms & Computer Consultant; Saudi Aramco
 Worked as Communications & Computer Consultant with Engineering
Departments to implement all Engineering packages related to Switching,
Transmission, Radio and supported Facilities Systems for all new Systems
and Equipment planned to be Installed in Western Region (Jeddah, Tabuk,
Duba, Jizan, Najran, all remote areas at Western Region of Saudi Arabia)
 Coordinated with Engineering Departments on the commissioning and
installation of Jeddah Area Central Office (Switching and Private
Exchanges) this is to provide more Trunk and Internal Telephone lines and
minimize the outstanding customer requirements for such services,
intensive coordination took place with Saudi Telecommunications
Company (STC) to facilitate the installation of such Systems as smooth
interconnecting with Saudi Aramco and STC system have to be provided
to ensure the Voice Lines connectivity
 Coordinated with Engineering Departments on commission and
installation of different Transmission Equipment such replacing the
physical layer of old Microwave links with OSP Fiber Optic (FO) Cables
to interconnect between Jeddah sites to enhance backbone services (there
are 4 SDH Microwave links configured as 1+1, connecting among Jeddah
AL-Musadia Complex (JDMC), North Jeddah Bulk Plant (NJBP), Jeddah
Housing Complex (JHC) and Jeddah Refinery Complex (JORC) as self-
healing ring architecture operating on 23 GHZ. These MW links were
installed in 2002 with limited bandwidth of STM-1 that are connected to
Alcatel STM-16 1660SM Add-Drop Multiplex at each site. Also, one F/O
cable is installed between JORC and NJBP. Furthermore, the maintenance
of these MW links became an issue especially in the last two years as the
equipment get ageing and purchasing, fixing or replacing defective parts
takes more than a year. On the other hand there is a leased STM-1 link
between JDMC and JORC to overcome the unreliable MW link and to be
used as backup for the E/W pipeline link
 Worked and coordinated on enhancement of Facility Equipment at
different sites at Saudi Arabia Western Region such as(Supply and install
new diesel generators at different Computer and Communication Rooms to
provide back-up power to communication equipment during outage in
order to keep communication equipment operational and to improve
reliability of IT equipment) , (Replace DC power equipment such as
rectifiers, Inverter, and battery banks at different Computer and
Communication Rooms by new generation of Saudi Aramco Standards DC
power Plant), (Install High Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) in
different Computer and Communication Rooms in order to keep reliable
communication equipment.
 Worked in implementation of Trunk Radio System at Jeddah Area and
Western Region Sites, such as (replace Jeddah Vessel Traffic Marine
System VTMS in Jeddah marine area in order to direct the vessels in
Jeddah port), (Install Digital Recording System for Safety Department in
order to monitor all misuse calls and operations), (
 Worked on Developing a Disaster Recovery Plan for Jeddah IT to guide
the response and recovery process in order to support Saudi Aramco
Business in case of emergencies that could occur in corporate facilities or
affects its communications systems and to guide employees on scenarios,
procedures and action that needs to be taken during emergency cases
 Worked very effectively on presenting Saudi IT Safety Management
System (SMS) elements to the Division / Unit employees, where group of
presentations were provided to the employees during the Safety Talks to
ensure that all employees are aware of the Saudi IT Safety Management
System (SMS) 27 processes and start taking precautions on their day to
day activities in-job and off-job. This is to meet the department directions
on increasing the level of Safety Awareness for all Divisions / Units
employees
