  1. 1. I THINK THIS SHOT WILL WORK, AS IT WILL BUILD UP THE TENSION WITHIN THE AUDIENCE WHO ARE EAGER TO FIND OUT WHO THE CHARACTER IS, ALSO I THINK IT GIVES THE CHARACTER A MORE MYSTERIOUS SIDE AS YOU HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHO IT IS.
  2. 2. THIS CLOSE UP WILL ALLOW THE VIEWER TO FINALLY SEE WHO WAS BEHIND THE BOOK. I THINK THIS SHOT IS GOOD AS IT WILL SHOW CLEARLY WHO THE PERSON IS, AND WILL ALLOW THE VIEWERS TO BUILD A PICTURE OF WHAT TYPE OF PERSON THIS CHARACTER IS.
  3. 3. I CHOSE TO CARRY ON USING THE SAME CLOSE UP ON THE SAME CHARACTER IN ORDER TO SEE THAT HE HAS A GUN AND IN ORDER TO KEEP THE PACE OF THE TRAILER AT THE SAME LEVEL.
  4. 4. I WILL USE NAMES AND LOGOS OF SPONSORS. I THINK THIS WILL BE VERY EFFECTIVE AS IT WILL MAKE THE TRAILER LOOK MUCH MORE PROFFESSIONAL.
  5. 5. I CHOSE TO HAVE A LONG SHOT OF A ROOM FROM A HIGH LEVEL, THAT WOULD ALLOW THE VIEWER TO SEE MOST OF THE CHARACTERS IN ONE ROOM. HOWEVER, I DON’T THINK THIS SHOT WILL WORK AS FOR THIS SHOT TO BE SUCCESSFUL, THE ROOM WILL NEED TO BE RATHER LARGER THAN A NORMAL SIZED ROOM AND I WILL NEED SOME SORT OF APPARATUS TO GET THE CAMERA AT A HIGH LEVEL. I WILL CONSIDER OTHER WAYS OF DOING THIS SHOT OR CHANGING THE SHOT ENTIRELY.
  6. 6. I CHOSE TO USE CLOSE UPS IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE CHARACTERS. I ALSO DECIDED THAT I WILL FREEZE THE SCREEN FOR AROUND 3 SECONDS AND THE ACTORS NAMES WILL APPEAR. I THINK THIS IS A GOOD WAY OF SHOWING WHO IS IN THE TRAILER AS THE SUDDEN FREEZING OF THE SCREEN WILL CATCH THE VIEWERS EYE.
  7. 7. AFTER ESTABLISHING WHO THE ACTOR WAS, I DECIDED THAT I WILL SHOW A SMALL CLIP OF THEM, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THEIR CHARACTERS BEHAVIOURS. THIS IS A LONG SHOT. I THINK THAT THIS SHOT WILL BE GOOD AS YOU WILL GET TO SEE THE ALL OF WHAT IS GOING ON AND THE VIEWER WILL BE ABLE TO BUILD A PICTURE IN THEIR HEADS OF THE CHARACTER.
  8. 8. I DECIDED THAT I WILL USE WORDING TO BREAK DOWN THE ASPECTS THAT WILL OCCUR IN THE FILM. I WILL PUT THESE WORDS AFTER OR BEFORE A SHORT CLIP ILLUSTRATING THE POINT, FOR EXAMPLE, IN THIS CASE I USED THE WORD ‘VIOLENCE’ AFTER I SHOWED THE SMALL CLIP OF VIOLENT ACTS.
  9. 9. AGAIN, I WILL USE THE SAME TECHNIQUE OF FREEZING THE SCREEN ON EACH CHARACTERS CLOSE UP, IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH WHO THE ACTOR IS.
  10. 10. IN THIS SCENE, I CHOSE TO AGAIN USE A LONG SHOT, BUT THIS TIME THE CAMERA WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE, SO THAT ALL THE CONCENTRATION WILL BE ON WHAT IS GOIN ON WITH THE CHARACTER AND NOTHING ELSE. I THINK THIS IS A GOOD WAY OF GRABBING THE VIEWERS ATTENTION AS THEY WILL NOT BE DISTRACTED BY ANYTHING ELSE GOING ON IN THE SCENE.
  11. 11. I AGAIN OPTED TO USE THE LONG SHOT WITH THE CAMERA PLACED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM, DIRECTLY CAPTURING WHATEVER THE CHARACTER IS DOING AND NOTHING ELSE. HERE YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE WHAT THE CHARACTER IS DOING (ROBBERY) AND YOU ARE NOT DISTRACTED BY ANYTHING ELSE.
  12. 12. HERE, I CHOSE TO USE A MID OVER THE SHOLDER SHOT. I CHOSE THIS SHOT SO THAT THE CHARACTER WHO IS YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SEE, IS KEPT MYSTERIOUS TO THE VIEWERS AND THAT YOU GET TO SEE MOST OF THE ROOM AND THE OTHER CHARACTERS EXPRESSIONS TOWARDS THIS CHARACTER. I THINK THIS SHOT IS GGOD AS IT BUILDS THE NARRATIVE OF THE TRAILER.
  13. 13. THIS SHOT IS A CLOSE UP MID SHOT. I WANTED TO USE THIS SHOT AS I WANTED THIS SCENE TO FEEL ‘CRAMPED’ AND ‘CLAUSTROPHOBIC’ SO THAT THE VIEWERS CAN SENSE WHAT THE CHARACTERS AE FEELING. HOWEVER, I THINK THAT THIS SHOT WILL BE MORE EFFECTIVE IF I LOWERED THE ANGLE OF THE CAMERA MORE, TO SEEM AS IF THE VIEWERS ARE LOOKING UP. ALTHOUGH, I COULD SHOOT IT FROM A HIGH ANGLE LOOKING DOWN INTO THE MIDDLE. I WILL NEED TO TRY OUT ALL 3 WAYS AND USE THE MOST FITTING ONE.
  14. 14. I WILL AGAIN USE WORDING TO ESTABLISH WHO THE DIRECTOR OF THE FILM IS. I AM NOT SURE IF I WILL USE A VOICE OVER, SO THIS IS STILL AN EFFICIENT WAY OF GETTING ACROSS TO THE VIEWER THE INFORMATION OF THE FILM.
  15. 15. THIS WILL BE A MID SHOT OF 3 CHARACTERS. I CHOSE THIS SHOT SO THAT I CAN HIGHLIGHT THE RELATIONSHIP OF THESE CHARACTERS TO THE VIEWER, AND I THINK THE INTIMACY OF A MID SHOT WILL GET THE POINT ACROSS VERY WELL.
  16. 16. ALTHOUGH I FIRST THOUGHT THAT I WILL TAKE THIS SCENE AS A CLOSE UP, I HAVE NOW REALISED THAT A MID SHOT WILL WORK BETTER AS THE AUDIENCE WILL SEE CLEARLY WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE SCENE.
  17. 17. I THINK THIS MID SHOT OF ALL THE ACTORS WALKING TOWARDS THE CAMERA IS A GREAT WAY OF ENDING THE TRAILER, AS YOU GET TO SEE THE WHOLE CAST AND THIS BUILDS UP EXCITEMENT AND THE FACT THAT THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER SHOWS THAT THE STORY OF THE FILM IS LINKED BETWEED ALL THE CHARACTERS PUT TOGETHER.
  18. 18. I CHOSE TO PUT THE NAME OF THE FILM TOWARDS THE VERY END OF THE TRAILER IN ORDER TO BUILD THE ANTICIPATION WITHIN THE VIEWERS. I CHOSE TO USE A SHOT OF THE FILM NAME COMING TOWARDS THE SCREEN. THIS WILL BE SOMETHING THAT WILL BE DONE IN THE EDITING OF THE FILM.
  19. 19. THIS IS THE DATE OF THE RELEASE OF THE FILM AND THE INFORMATION SUCH AS DIRECTOR, EDITOR, ACTORS NAMES, ETC. HOWEVER, I MAY DECIDE TO PUT THIS INFORMTION WITH THE FILM NAME.
