  4. 4. Child Protection-Information Sharing: Overview 1. Child protection information recorded locally within social care 2. Automatic submission to CP-IS, upon creation or amendment of status of child 3. Child protection information retrieved and displayed to Health Professionals 4. Access events captured, stored and displayed to social care and healthcare workers
  5. 5. Where are we now? • Business case agreed and approved • DH Ministerial support • First wave signed up and on track to go live early 2014 • Start engagement with 2nd wave sites • Majority of Las sending data to NHS by April 2015 • Most of NHS sites fully integrated by 2018
  6. 6. Recap • England-wide solution to protect children who are most vulnerable in society • Benefits for LAs and health but most of all for children • Minimal dataset and scope to ensure achievable delivery • Integration between 152 Las and 1,200 health sites
