Lean Thinking in ED Using RFID <ul><li>Collaboration with Emendo; IBM; IBA ;Hawkes Bay DHB; and the Cluster </li></ul><ul><li>NZTE sponsored scoping project </li></ul><ul><li>Focused on ED, applying lean thinking principles to improve patient flow & capacity management </li></ul><ul><li>Using RFID to capture real time data </li></ul><ul><li>Other technology suppliers will get to participate when scope and development funding is agreed </li></ul>

E-Labs Project <ul><li>Regional e-Labs project championed by HISAC (Action Zone 5 of the NZ Health Information Strategy) </li></ul><ul><li>Co-sponsored by Ministry of Health, Lakes DHB and BOP DHB </li></ul><ul><li>8 to 12 parties in the project & could involve many more! </li></ul><ul><li>Architectural workstream well underway </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Data Repository, open standards, web based services </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Clinical workstream scheduled </li></ul><ul><ul><li>What information shared with whom, primary/secondary workflow, clinician interface, Reporting </li></ul></ul>

Consumer Health Portal Project <ul><li>Collaborative project including Medtech, Simpl, Procare PHO, Healthpoint, Enigma, Telemessenger, ADHB, and the Cluster </li></ul><ul><li>Consumer portal with Personal Health Record </li></ul><ul><li>Information populated from GP PMS, and from the consumer and other agreed parties </li></ul><ul><li>Will enable and support self management </li></ul><ul><li>Access determined by the consumer </li></ul><ul><li>Sponsored by Microsoft and the MOH </li></ul><ul><li>Scoping underway </li></ul><ul><li>Delivery April 08 </li></ul>
