  2. 2. • A SPY?• A computer virus is a small program that spreads from one computer to another and disturbs with the operation of your computer.• A computer virus may damage or delete files and data from your computer or even destroy the whole hard drive.• Computer viruses spread easily through e-mail attachments or via e-mail chats.
  3. 3. • Computer viruses can “mask” with attached pictures, cards, or video files.• Viruses can spread through downloads from the Internet.• All computer viruses are man-made.• Malicious softwares are for example: viruses, Trojans, adware and spyware.• (A Trojan is a program that pretends to be something it isn’t.)

Your computer keeps restarting when you try to shut itdown.Computer is running slower than usual.Computer stops responding.Computer freezes frequently.Computer folders & files are removed or changed.Computer crashes and then restarts every few minutes.Applications on the computer do not work correctly.Disks or disk drives can not be used.You receive an unusual error messages.The computer can not install anti-virus software or anti-virus program does not start.

This should stop the virus to spread in internal memory.• Immediately after re-starting the computer, it´s good to run an anti-virus software. An up-to-date programme usually knows how to remove viruses.• Re-install the windows: download the latest version of your Internet browser.• Format the hard drive. This action will delete all data, files and programmes from your computer. But at the same
