    2. 2. What is censorship? Censorship - Supervision and control of the information and ideas that are circulated among the people within a society. In modern times, censorship refers to the examination of books, periodicals, plays, films, television and radio programs, news reports, and other communication media for the purpose of altering or suppressing parts thought to be objectionable or offensive.

Special elements and uses of the censorship Types of censorship: political, state secrets and prevention of attention, religion, educational sources, copy, picture, and writer approval, creative censorship, self-censorship Censorship is being used for avoidance of offensive content However, censorship can be a tool which hides the real information from the humanity One of the best examples of the censorship is Soviet Union where everything was censored, even though some of the information would not offend people anyhow. It depended only on the governmental issues Censorship is a necessary obligation of the authority to protect the moral and social order

Most of the content will be always censored but in order to avoid the total censorship is important to remember: When starting a marketing company, it is important to remember that the censorship can vary in different countries and cultures according to the religious issues, traditions For example, what is acceptable in European countries - the advertisements which contain naked parts of human body, will be possibly abandoned in muslim counties For starting a marketing campaign, it is highly important to study a key country in order to understand what kind of restrictions can be meet in a way of promotion a certain product or a service
