WHEREAS <ul><li>Continued art education for Alaska’s youth is an essential component of our state and nation’s bright future, as President Kennedy noted “I see little of more importance to the future of our country and of civilization than full recognition of the place of the artist. If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow him or her vision wherever it may take him or her.” </li></ul>

Emerging Performers Program Supported by a grant from Alaska Association of School Boards for asset building in youth <ul><li>Youth and adults mentored by professional artist. </li></ul><ul><li>Perform in HCOA Gallery and in community. </li></ul><ul><li>Learn to give and receive feedback by participating in feedback group with peers and mentors after each performance. </li></ul>
