FOOD CLOUD: Thematic cloud for agri, food and nutrition • Support the implementation of EOSC in the thematic fields of agriculture, food and nutrition • Take into account specific needs/opportunities in these thematic fields => 10 M€ investment under Horizon 2020/Societal Challenge 2 (2019) (DT-SFS-26-2019: Food Cloud Demonstrators ) • Build Food Cloud demonstrators that: • increase data findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability, • improve the services provided to research communities • facilitate re-use of data by a wider user community • Focus on use cases that address researchers' needs and FOOD 2030 priorities; • Ensure LT sustainability of demonstrators

Conclusing remarks • Food systems are facing "Perfect Storm" • FOOD 2030 initiative: • New level of ambition, impact & focus for research & innovation • From message, to momentum, to … action • EU post 2020-discussions are window of opportunity • EOSC: better data management to increase impact of R&I • EOSC/ Food Cloud: • Challenge & opportunity of 'data-transition' are recognised • Know & respond to researchers' needs • From roadmaps to debate to co-design ("food commons") 9
