Delivering Internet Based Guidance Services: Review <ul><li>Course aim: </li></ul><ul><li>To introduce e-advice and guidance to Personal Advisers. </li></ul><ul><li>This was our starting point. Internet based guidance is relatively new to Connexions Services. We hope that these sessions have given you a 'taster' of how we can use the web to help young people! </li></ul>

Objectives....we hope that you have <ul><li>considered the role of new technologies in advice and guidance </li></ul><ul><li>had hands on experience of using e-tools in a guidance context </li></ul><ul><li>planned how to build e-guidance into your practice </li></ul><ul><li>increased your e-confidence </li></ul>

Consider the role of new technologies in advice and guidance <ul><li>We have tried to do this by: </li></ul><ul><li>Looking at current and emerging practice, including national guidance </li></ul><ul><li>Trying to define e-guidance </li></ul><ul><li>Considering relevant issues e.g. e-safety, digital divide </li></ul>
  4. 4. Hands on experience <ul><li>You tried: </li></ul><ul><li>guidance by e-mail </li></ul><ul><li>web chat with each other and 'in role' </li></ul><ul><li>tweeting! </li></ul><ul><li>using survey monkey </li></ul>
