Guided tour of Kotor Old Town - UNESCO World Heritage site. This walking tour of the Kotor's old town
is perfect if you only have a short time for visit because of the schedule of your cruise ship. The tour
provides an excellent orientation in Kotor and visits St. Tryphoon Cathedral and the Maritime Museum.
The Old town of Kotor is one of the best preserved medieval towns in this part of the Mediterranean. It has
succeeded in preserving its original form, so typical of towns between the XII and the XIV century. The
asymmetric structure of the narrow streets and squares, combined with the numerous valuable monuments
of medieval architecture, contributed that Kotor is placed on UNESCO the world natural and cultural heritage
lists. Our guided tour takes you through the warren of stone paved streets to visit the sunlit squares.
Highlights of the tour include a visit to the Maritime museum and St. Tryphoon Cathedral. Visitors with more
energy can take the optional path to climb up 260 meters to the top of the town’s fortifications. From San
Giovanni castle at the highest point, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Bay of Kotor and the town’s
ancient streets which extend beneath you.
Information: Kotor Old Town is fairly shaded inside the town walls and involves mainly flat walking on
ancient stone cobbled streets. If you wish to climb up to the fortress we recommend taking a sun hat, sun
cream, bottled water and sturdy walking shoes (don’t forget your camera!).

Unique tour during which you can see some spectacular view points, incredibly beautiful places and historical
monuments. Just after a short drive from Kotor you will be amazed by the Old Road constructed in 1879 by
Austro-Hungarians which connect Kotor and Cetinje (Old Royal Capital). It has 25 curves till the point in
which the road divides where we go to the top of Lovcen Mountain or towards Cetinje. On our tour we go to
reach the top of the mountain. Lovcen is a mountain range in the system of Dinaric Alps, which rises steep
from the edge of Adriatic area, above coastal part of Montenegro. From Lovcen you can enjoy in magnificent
view on amazing Bay of Kotor, one of the most beautiful scenery in whole Montenegro, the view of the open
sea, on the Skadar Lake, and of Cetinje, even during clear days on the distant Prokletije mountain and
Italian coast, which is located on opposite side of the Adriatic sea. Jezerski Peak (1.675 m) is the second
highest point of the National Park "Lovcen" there is a mausoleum of the famous Montenegrin poet and ruler
Petar II Petrovic Njegos on the mountain top. The mausoleum sits at the top of a climb of 461 steps. The
most impressive part of the mausoleum is the chapel which has six sides and one central niche, it is built
from the finest Brac marble. The beautiful ceiling is 9 meters high and covered with over 200,000 gilded tiles
creating a fascinating mosaic. After mausoleum we head towards a village Njegusi located on the slopes of
Mount Lovcen best known as the birthplace of the Petrovic dynasty, which ruled Montenegro from 1696 to
1918. Cheese and prosciutto made solely in the area around Njegusi, are genuine examples of Montenegrin
cuisine. Here we stop for a break and snack delicious homemade cheese and smoked hams. Degustation
with one drink and chance to buy the local specialties.
Information: Clients are advised to carry warm clothing and rain jacket as colder temperatures can be
expected on the mountain summit. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Camera highly recommended!

Every Montenegrin will say: "Who didn't saw Cetinje, haven't been in Montenegro!" So don't miss to visit the
most significant city in the history and culture of Montenegro and its numerous monuments: The Cetinje
monastery, from which Montenegrin bishops are ruled through the centuries, Palace of King Nikola,
Montenegrin king who together with his daughters made connection with 4 European courts, Vladin Dom
and historical symbols, numerous embassies and museums...
You will start the day with a spectacular drive from Kotor to Njegusi by the Old Road constructed in 1879 by
Austro-Hungarians giving you the most stunning views over the most beautiful Bay in the Mediterranean. We
will stop at the Village of Njegusi best known as the birthplace of the Petrovic dynasty, which ruled
Montenegro from 1696 to 1918. We stop for a break and snack at an authentic restaurant in Njegusi which
was always known for their milk and meat products. Famous cheese from Njegusi was once sold in Kotor,
Dalmatia, Trieste and Venice. Like the famous cheese they also produce smoked ham, which today is their
most important product. A journey through “the sea of stone” leads to Cetinje the Old Royal capital of
Montenegro town of immense historical heritage, founded in the 15th century. It became the center of
Montenegrin life and both a cradle of Montenegrin culture and a Orthodox religious center. Many travelers
today will find an abundance of impressive architectural structures in Cetinje, including a number of
international embassies from the UK, France, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium... Situated beneath the summit
of Lovcen which towers to an impressive 590 meters (1900 feet) above sea level, Cetinje is an oasis of
peace and tranquility, natural beauty and ample fresh air.
Information: Clients are advised to carry warm clothing and rain jacket as colder temperatures can be
expected on the mountain summit. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Camera highly recommended!

Visit the beautiful baroque town of Perast opposite on the entrance to the inner Bay of Kotor. Hear the
history of this fascinating town, which was home to wealthy seafaring families before becoming famous as
an artists’ colony. This small baroque town reached its height of glory in the 17th and 18th centuries. At
that time, Perast had a merchant fleet of around 100 ships. Its sailors were well-known for their skill and
courage. In the old town of captains Perast, best preserved baroque town on the whole Adriatic, visitors will
see the cathedral of St.Nicola and on the island Our Lady of the Rock the church with same name from the
17th century. Walls and ceiling of the church covers 68 paintings on canvas of Tripo Kokolj, one of the best
known domestic baroque painters. Don’t forget your camera! There will be time for guests to take
refreshments at one of the waterfront cafes. This tour is mainly on flat ground, around 2-3 km of walking
and reasonable mobility required being able to board the boats to the church islands.
After Perast you are invited to visit The Old city of Kotor, which is as well as the whole bay registrated in the
pages of World's treasury and it's under the protection of UNESCO. Looking out to the stunning Kotor Bay
and surrounded with National Park, port of Kotor is truly a unique among Adriatic harbors. Old Town of
Kotor resembles a triangle when looked up from air, its cobbled streets and alleys protecting valuable
monuments standing proof to this towns' long history. St. Tryphon's Cathedral, Kotor's most impressive
building, and one of the most recognizable symbols of the town. Other sights are the 17th century Prince's
Palace, the 19th century Napoleon's Theatre, the 15th century Sea Gate (main entrance to the town) with
the recognizable winged lion of St. Mark, and the town walls.
Information: Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Sun hat for visiting islands.

Departing from Kotor in the direction Riviera of Budva, one of the most famous views in Montenegro. The
former fishing village of Sveti Stefan is perched on a rocky island linked to the shore by a narrow causeway.
Once a holiday hideaway to stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Claudia Schiffer, Sylvester
Stallone…the island has recently been restored to its former glory as a luxury holiday resort. It is not
possible to access on the island unless you are a guest of the hotel, however the viewpoint gives a stunning
outlook for photos and sightseeing.
Then we depart to Budva’s fortified Old town. Ascents of great Mediterranean cultures marked the spirit of
this town, and its felt even today, when Budva is a unique touristic pearl of this part of Adriatic Sea. Perched
on a small peninsula, Budva Old Town offers a lot of historic sites. While its history reaches back to the
Illyrian and Greek times, it wasn't until the Middle Ages that the city got its now recognizable defense walls.
Budva, along Kotor, is the only Montenegro town with a completely walled old city center. Within the walls,
you will find medieval forts, a citadel, narrow cobbled alleys and streets connecting small squares around the
city. This town became known as a touristic destination long time ago - first tourists came here in 1923 and
today it is usually called “metropolis of tourism” because it is the most visited destination in Montenegro and
one of the most visited on Adriatic. Our guide will explain the history of the many churches with their well
preserved frescoes and icons. The streets of the Old Town are dotted with bars and restaurants, shops and
hotels, all supporting tourism. The area is famous for some of the most beautiful beaches, and Saint Nikola
Island located in front of Budva.
Information: Bring flat shoes for walking the cobbled streets, a sun hat and sun cream.

Even if you are not terribly religious, you will certain enjoy on a tour in Ostrog Monastery. Amazing things
have been known to happen here. The Ostrog Orthodox monastery which is situated at 900 meters above
sea level in the vertical rock is truly popular holy place, in the fullest sense of the words and it is one of the
most frequently visited on the Balkans, visited by believers from all parts of the world, either individually or
in groups. Ostrog Monastery is the meeting place of all confessions: the Orthodox, the Catholics and the
Muslims. The monastery was founded and is dedicated to Saint Basil (1610 – 1671). The monastery has two
small churches, an upper and a lower. The Upper Church, built in a cave, was constructed and decorated
with wall paintings in 1665, and is dedicated to the Holy Cross. The Lower Church dates from the 18th
century and is dedicated to the Presentation of the Virgin Mary.
On your tour to the Monastery, you will begin the 8 hour journey passing through Risan. Risan is a small
port town with only a couple of thousand inhabitants. Logs from the virgin forests in the Bijela Gora are

The former fishing village of Sveti Stefan is perched on a rocky island linked to the shore by a narrow causeway. Once a holiday hideaway to stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Claudia Schiffer, Sylvester Stallone…the island has recently been restored to its former glory as a luxury holiday resort. It is not possible to access on the island unless you are a guest of the hotel, however the viewpoint gives a stunning outlook for photos and sightseeing. Then we depart to Budva’s fortified Old town. Ascents of great Mediterranean cultures marked the spirit of this town, and its felt even today, when Budva is a unique touristic pearl of this part of Adriatic Sea. Perched on a small peninsula, Budva Old Town offers a lot of historic sites. While its history reaches back to the Illyrian and Greek times, it wasn't until the Middle Ages that the city got its now recognizable defense walls. Budva, along Kotor, is the only Montenegro town with a completely walled old city center. Within the walls, you will find medieval forts, a citadel, narrow cobbled alleys and streets connecting small squares around the city. This town became known as a touristic destination long time ago - first tourists came here in 1923 and today it is usually called “metropolis of tourism” because it is the most visited destination in Montenegro and one of the most visited on Adriatic. Our guide will explain the history of the many churches with their well preserved frescoes and icons. The streets of the Old Town are dotted with bars and restaurants, shops and hotels, all supporting tourism. The area is famous for some of the most beautiful beaches, and Saint Nikola Island located in front of Budva. Information: Bring flat shoes for walking the cobbled streets, a sun hat and sun cream.
