These 7 April 2018 marks the centenary of the publication of the book "Kyustendilsko Kraishte" by Yordan Zahariev. This is a reason to point out to what extent this bibliofilic rarity is significant for science and the population, not just of Bosilegrad and its surroundings, but also for the sciences of national and European dimensions. The book was published in the Bulgarian language as "Kyustendilsko Kraishte", because Krajishte region until 1920, belongs only to Bulgaria. This space today in the southeast of Serbia becomes interesting for Serbian science from the middle of the last century, and then the book "Kyustendilsko Kraishte" becomes significant and the only relevant source of this region. This book from the beginning of the 20th century is today an object of interest, both geography and ethnography, as well as library science, because this cultural asset belongs to a group of old and rare library materials. Because of their rarity, value and high demand, the book sees two phototype editions, one of which in Serbia within the series “Koreni”.
