What can you edit on the add-onpage?• Logos at 72x72 pixels, otherwise they will be scaled• Banner, could be listed on the homepage too• Screenshots and YouTube video, show the best parts of your add-on• Pricing for marketplace add-ons, can change only once per quarter
Titles, descriptions and too manywords• Long titles get truncated on the listing page (40 characters)• Descriptions should highlight features and how it benefits the user, not just functions• Think about the types of people that will be reading your add-on description (potentially non-technical people), make it simple and straight forward
Types of lists• Staff Picked <- Plugins we think are awesome• Most Popular <- Most downloads overall• Top Grossing <- Most money made for marketplace paid add-ons in the last 30 days• Trending <- Most downloads in last 14 days
How does one get to be in the“Staff Picked” grid or list?• Lots of sales, view and downloads• Great ratings and reviews from customers• Straight up being kick-ass!!• Being a part of the Marketplace does not guarantee being selected for either the grid or list
Searching for all the things• Option to search for ratings so make it good• Adding a bunch of keywords in your description tacky and is much lower in the search criteria• Scheme constantly changing• It pays to be staff picked• Select accurate categories, pick up to three
Common things forgotten onsubmission• Don’t forget your binary url• Make sure it really is compatible with the version of the application it is listed for• The license libraries need to be up to date for critical fixes• Make sure you are on the vendor mailing list (Google group)!
Making sure some particularsmatch• Assets in both the plugin xml and on the marketplace page otherwise they wont appear in UPM• Plugin keys for searching and comparing versions through UPM
