Poverty is a denial of choices and
opportunities, a violation of human dignity. It
means lack of basic capacity to participate
effectively in society. It means not having
enough to feed and clothe a family, not
having a school and clinic to go to, not
having the land on which to grow one’s food
or a job to earn one’s living, not having
access to credit.
According to a study conducted by the Centre
of Research on Poverty and Income
Distribution(CRPID), 63% of poor in Pakistan
fall in the category of “transitory poor”.
The remaining 32” and 5” of the population
that falls below the poverty line are “ chronic”
and “ extremely poor”, respectively.
Students are working for this cause of
eliminating poverty by promoting education
in school by educating custodians.
Every student is educating his/her maid and
their children at home free of cost and
providing them books from their pocket
They are educating as a group to children
who pick up garbage , beggars ,work in
shops etc on week ends.
