The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center is a non-profit performing arts organization located in an historic theatre/town hall on Main Street in Old Saybrook. It includes a 250-seat theatre and a small museum honoring Katharine Hepburn, Old Saybrook’s most celebrated resident.

The Connecticut Valley Railroad Roundhouse and Turnaround Site The Connecticut Valley Railroad Roundhouse and Turntable were built in 1871 by the Connecticut Valley Railroad, which was later acquired by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. Both structures were added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 28, 1994.
  3. 3. The Tidal Marsh At Fort Saybrook The Tidal Marsh at Fort Saybrook consists of over six acres of prime marshland, one of the most important ecosystems serving Long Island Sound. The marsh provides a perfect habitat for many small animals and birds.

Every couple of weeks the owners hit the road in pursuit of new items such as linens from France, bedding from Italy, soaps from Provence, old world ceramics, hand crafted candles, or unique home décor and architectural pieces.

  6. 6. The Saybrook Country Barn What was once a sea captain’s house is now a multi-building retail space complete with the Curtain Shop the Rug Shop ,a Martha Stewart furniture gallery, as well as furniture showrooms, a woman’s boutique and an innovative and sophisticated restaurant.
  7. 7. The Monkey Farm Previously the Old Saybrook Inn, The Monkey Farm got it’s name in 1978. It is one of Old Saybrook’s favorite local hangouts. Open 365 days a year you’ll meet a variety of people from boaters to bikers.
