Giani Petersen
Project & Portfolio I: Week 1
March 5th, 2023
I am Giani Petersen a person from Canton, Ohio, a place
where people are tough, hardworking, and thick-skinned.
I feel a lot of those characteristics show up in myself
except I am so much more than that. I am a person that
is always willing to put the needs of others ahead of my
own. I feel what the one thing that makes me unique as
compared to others is that yes, my goal is to be an on-air
talent, but once I build a platform, I want to use my
platform to raise awareness for people such as myself
growing up. I was the type to always try to mask and
hide my depression and anxiety. The older I have gotten
I realize it helps make me unique and has helped push
me to great heights. I am a hardworking, helpful, and
understanding person that wants to use his platform for
more than sports one day!

Outreach Plan:
• I plan to explore her LinkedIn more and try to build
some sort of small connection between us, so she
could consider talking with me.
• My main mode of contact will try to be through email,
phone, LinkedIn message, etc. When I contact, I will
mention how she is close to my age range
• As long I can obtain an email or some sort of
communication form, I plan on to continue to contact
Taylor once every two to three days until I get a
response mainly trying to contact through text, social
media, etc

Rollins, will mention calling games for Tars, and how I

to her department if possible, and let her know I will
contact once a week
• If I can get one of those contacts especially email or
phone I will continue to follow up once a week with the
same values, I approached the situation with.

• I researched her on LinkedIn and the main connection I can say that I
have made with her is her working at Barstool
• There are many modes of communication, but the main mode would be
through LinkedIn due to not many of her contacts being available. She
also seems to be closer to my age so I will communicate with her in a
different manor as compared to older contacts .
• For starters since she seems to be younger the ability to forget things
happens quite often and I feel like I should try and contact her at least
once every two days and continue to try and push for a better mode of
communication such as a phone number

• I will earn a entry level play-by play or on-air job at local
network
‣ My goal is to call 12 games by December of 2023
and I will continue to do work on camera to build
my demo reel in December of 2023
Mid Term: (2028)
• Reach main platform such as ESPN, NBC, CBS as a live
TV talent
‣ My goal is by December of 2027 I will continue to
keep building up my demo reel and I will reach out
to at least 10 HR reps at those companies
Long Term: (2030)
• Use my built-up platform to continue at a main network
but I also want to use my platform to speak on mental
health
‣ By December of 2029 I will continue to make my
mark in my industry, and I will begin to use my
platform to speak out for the ones that do not
speak up. My goal is too have 100K Followers By
December 2029
