  2. 2. <ul><li>The INTERREG IVC Program is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2007-2013 . </li></ul><ul><li>It is a EU program that helps regions of Europe work together to share their knowledge and experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Launched in 2007, the programme will run until 2013. </li></ul>“ Helping regions to share solutions”
  3. 3. <ul><li>The project G4G has been developed as an answer to two necessities. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The difficulty to reach Lisbon Agenda goals on time by 2010, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The charter on Local Life (CEMR, 2006), signed by several partners now. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>With Gender4Growth, partners intend to update their frameworks of economic policies, facilitating professional contribution of women to the economy. </li></ul><ul><li>In some words “ strengthen economy with gender issue ” </li></ul>

  5. 5. <ul><li>Main objective: </li></ul><ul><li>Reinforce awareness of gender in relation to regional policies of economic development. </li></ul><ul><li>Sub-objectives : </li></ul><ul><li>Technical analysis of regional policies, transfer of practices; </li></ul><ul><li>Increased involvement of politicians, institutions, and social and economic partners (from the local to European level) ‏ . </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Collection and evaluation of practices in partner regions on four thematic areas: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Employment </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Access to work </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Entrepreneurship </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Women participation </li></ul></ul>Veneto Region is in charge of Component 3, they realise and manage the methodology. Every partner of the project produce best practices and good policies . This works is visible on the website of the project.
  7. 7. <ul><li>Practices / policies survey </li></ul><ul><li>Focus groups </li></ul><ul><li>Qualitative interviews </li></ul><ul><li>The three tools used for the collection of practices give quantitative and qualitative information in order to proceed with the next step, namely a benchmarking exercise following 10 criteria </li></ul>

  9. 9. <ul><li>Last October all partners met in Timisoara (Ro). The title of this European conference was : </li></ul><ul><li>“ The transfer of good practices in European projects a chance for local authorities ? The gender equality as an example” </li></ul><ul><li>During this conference every partner choose one or two good practices issued from another partner. </li></ul><ul><li>We are actually working in bilateral group to begin the process of transfer at regional and local level. </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>One of the main issue of our first European conference in Venice (Oct 2009) was to make new studies, mainly to answer to political demand. </li></ul><ul><li>This process start till a few month, and our partner from Lidköping Kommun have taken the lead on this studies. </li></ul><ul><li>We have to realise 7 studies, the topics are : </li></ul><ul><li>All this studies will be presented for our next and last conference in Paris next June. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Working conditions </li></ul></ul>Pay Gap Women in STEM, ICT Access to finance Stereotypes Exclusion to Inclusion Vocational training, Apprentiship
