Life was far from easy for Billy. The scarson his chest were a gift from his mother.Thoughtful like that she is.Don’t worry, you won’t miss anything, you’ll experience every gruesome detailin “TRIBAL SCARRING.” HeheheDo you like his necklace? I’d really like totell you more about it but I couldn’tpossible spoil the moment when Amberis checking it out. I had tears runningdown my face writing it.“BUDGIE SMUGGLERS.” Too funny.
This is Billy’s returning boomerang. It flies left because he’s righthanded. He also carries a heavy, non-returning boomerang that heuses like a flying club.
This is Billy’s knife. He chipped it himself from an amethyst crystaland made the handle from the leg of a wombat.
How cool is Billy’s hat? It’s made from thehead of a big redkangaroo. The biggesthis great-grandfatherCobar had ever seen. His father, Mandu, turned it into a hat asa gift for hisinitiations. That’s his hardwoodspear you can see too, along with hiswoomera. You can’t see hisfavourite weapon butyou’ll be readingabout it in the series.

It’s not until book 4 that we finally get agander at Billy’s face in “BUDGIESMUGGLERS.” Handsome devil isn’t he?But of course now we have to wonderwhat Amber looks like. For now, she’s allyours. Imagine her any way you will. Alittle button nose or a horribly bighonker. Gleaming white teeth or bentyellow buckies. Perhaps you’d like her tohave a freckle or two, or maybe a cutelittle mole in just the right spot? Oneeyebrow or two? It’s up to you.
One of Billy’s other weapons isvisible in this picture too, hisfishing line. He loves fishing, or atleast he used to, until he saw howbig the fish were in Sydneyharbour (BUDGIE SMUGGLERS).Can you see his loincloth? Hewears it over his shorts. Not sureif it’s a case of old habits die hardor it’s now more of a tool beltthan anything. He’s always tuckedhis boomerangs and knife into thecord. He was excited about his newshorts. The zipper and press-studsfascinated him. It’s easy to forgetthat basically, he’s steppedstraight out of the stone age.Everything is new to him.Especially girls. He particularlylikes the ones in bikinis.
