CHRIS LEACH, CHAIRMAN AND FOUNDER OF ACS
I am very pleased, as Chairman of the Air Charter
Service Group, to be able to present this overview
of our organization. 2015 marks 25 years since my
wife and I formed the company in our family
home. In the years since then the business has
grown in size and experience, and is today
regarded as one of the largest and most respected
charter companies in the world.
We still believe in the family ethos on which the
company was founded however, with a significant
percentage of our employees being shareholders.

COMPANY HISTORY
1990: In the basement of Chris Leach’s
house, Air Charter Service is born
1991-1994: ACS gets involved in relief
operations following Somalia’s civil
war.
1995-1998: ACS opens its first overseas
offices in Moscow, Russia and an
operations base for its new managed
fleet in Ostend, Belgium
1999-2001: On behalf of the Red
Cross, ACS creates an air bridge
in Kosovo
2002-2004: ACS expands into
the USA with the opening of the
New York office. For the first
time, ACS arranges 1,000
charters in a financial year
2005-2006: Air Charter Service
enters the Middle Eastern
market by opening an office in
Dubai
2007-2008: ACS extends its
European presence, opening an
office in Spain. ACS expands into
the Asian market, with an
operation in Hong Kong

COMPANY HISTORY
2009: ACS moves in to the French
market, opening an office in Paris.
The company expands into Africa,
opening in Johannesburg
2010: A record year in terms of
office openings, with four new
offices opening worldwide in
Germany, Canada, Brazil and a
second one for Russia in St.
Petersburg
2011: ACS expands its coverage in
USA, with the opening of the Los
Angeles office
2012: Launch of the Empyrean
division and subsequent Lindbergh
Jet Card. ACS opens offices in India,
China and Kazakhstan
2013: Chris Leach is given the
Lifetime Achievement Award at the
Cargo Airline of the Year Awards for
his life’s work in aviation
2014: ACS retains the ACW and
Payload Asia awards and picks up
the ACN Charter Broker of the Year
Award. ACS expands within North
America, opening an office in
Houston, Texas. The New York office
celebrates its 10th Anniversary
2015: 2015 marks the 25th
anniversary of the company’s
formation. ACS now employs more
than 300 staff. ACS opens a new
office in Miami, USA and a Swiss
office in Geneva

OUR COMPLIANCE, YOUR SAFETY
Safety is our number one priority. It is why our dedicated safety and compliance team
monitor every booking closely – checking that all operators have an up-to-date Aircraft
Operator Certificate (AOC) and relevant policies and insurance. We and the regulatory
bodies also have blacklists to cross-check the operators against. So if there are any
discrepancies with safety accreditation, we will not permit the aircraft in question to
depart.
ACS Inc. is a ‘Wyvern Authorized
Broker’, an accreditation that is only
awarded to companies within the
industry who uphold Wyvern safety
standards.
