  1. 1. <ul><li>Foster understanding, cooperation and respect for strengths and achievements among the youth of Guelph and Wellington County. </li></ul><ul><li>Cross pollinate the University educated youth and the youth outside of the University (these are traditionally less educated and more street smart youth) who are starting businesses. </li></ul><ul><li>Foster cooperation and reliance on strengths through peer to peer activities and management. </li></ul><ul><li>Youth reaching out to support and assist other youth through community outreach workshops and information sessions. </li></ul><ul><li>Use students from the University of Guelph to mentor and work hands on in business skill development with the incubator. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the roster of community leaders and volunteers established by the partners to bring specific experience and knowledge to all youth involved. </li></ul><ul><li>Have the University and Incubator youth act as community role models. </li></ul>
  2. 2. <ul><li>Develop personal confidence and self worth in the youth of Guelph and Wellington County. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop the feeling of control and accountability for the future and their personal directions in the youth of Guelph and Wellington County. </li></ul><ul><li>Create a format for the youth to experience and have input into the project management aspects of the project. </li></ul><ul><li>Have the youth in the Incubator experience the value of education and knowledge and the University students experience the reality of putting education into practice. </li></ul><ul><li>Have the youth experience cooperation and compromise in finding the best solutions to issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Have the youth experience the synergy of individuals working together for a common goal. </li></ul><ul><li>Have the youth pass on their experiences and findings to others through mentoring . </li></ul><ul><li>Have youth supported and encouraged in establishing retail and food product related businesses within the incubator. </li></ul><ul><li>Build evidence of personal skills to strengthen the resumes of youth participants to be more marketable in a tight market. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Develop and share minute books of management decisions and best practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Monthly meetings with partners and youth. </li></ul><ul><li>Quarterly reviews for best practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Evaluation yearly reports. </li></ul><ul><li>Website development </li></ul><ul><li>Guest speaking for other programs conferences etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Host site meetings and visits for other youth groups </li></ul>Education Life Experiences Job & Workplace readiness for self sustainable futures Entrepreneurial Experience
