  13. 13. Conclusion : Key Takeaways There is a rising demand for domestic air-travel as affordability and living 1 standards increase. Traffic handling capacity constraints faced by Chinese airports are a major factor 2 driving the development of airports in China. Regulatory reforms being undertaken by the government will attract foreign 3 investors and speed up commercialization of airports. Development of existing hub airports to increase traffic handling capacity will be a 4 focus over the next decade. Certain Tier 2 Airports will also undergo expansion programs to prepare for 5 increased traffic as a result of the smaller cities being better connected. 13
