Independent Competence Center <ul><li>The Friprog center is working for innovation in both public and private sector. </li></ul><ul><li>As an independent competence center, our mission is open source in the public sector </li></ul><ul><li>spreading knowledge, building networks and offer arenas for sharing. </li></ul><ul><li>Get our funding from norwegian Government </li></ul>

The White Paper covers a wide range of issues: <ul><li>Round the clock public administration </li></ul><ul><li>Digital inclusion – including access, </li></ul><ul><li>Research and development in the ICT sector, </li></ul><ul><li>Universal design and skills for all </li></ul><ul><li>Open source, sharing of source code in the public sector and an open source competence center </li></ul>

Norwegian software Exchange <ul><li>A Norwegian open source repository </li></ul><ul><li> is a platform for sharing and re-use of Open Source software for the public sector. </li></ul><ul><li>It is possible to upload and download software and solutions, </li></ul><ul><li>Launched april 2008 with 25 projects and another 20 in the «pipeline» </li></ul><ul><li>The portal lists vendors from activ projects. </li></ul>
  11. 14. <ul><li>Close collaboration between the nordic countries </li></ul><ul><li> is based on the source code from the danish open source repository - </li></ul><ul><li>Learning and reusing from the other Nordic countries gave us a flying start </li></ul><ul><li>Developing feeds between the nordic plattforms – cross border search for software </li></ul><ul><li>We are working on a quality assurance program (based on Open BRR ?). </li></ul>
