Print Ad’s <ul><li>Use a spokes person or model </li></ul><ul><li>Can be drawn or a photographed </li></ul><ul><li>Have the product visible in the add </li></ul><ul><li>Have a slogan in the add </li></ul><ul><li>Use bright colours and are interesting to look at ie. They catch your eye </li></ul><ul><li>Make you want to buy the product </li></ul><ul><li>Are easy to read in a few seconds </li></ul>

Assignment: <ul><li>Invent a new edible product </li></ul><ul><li>Design a package for your product </li></ul><ul><li>Think of a slogan for your product </li></ul><ul><li>Create a print add </li></ul><ul><li>or </li></ul><ul><li>Create a commercial (in a group of 2 or 3) </li></ul><ul><li>* group members would still do the first three steps on their own * </li></ul>
  10. 10. Product Information <ul><li>Create an edible product that kids (like you) would eat </li></ul><ul><li>It could be a snack, a drink, or a new type of candy </li></ul><ul><li>It shouldn’t be expensive to buy </li></ul><ul><li>It should be available to buy at a variety of stores </li></ul>

Package Information <ul><li>Choose one of the box templates and trace it onto a rough piece of paper </li></ul><ul><li>Or </li></ul><ul><li>Invent your own package </li></ul><ul><li>Or </li></ul><ul><li>Trace the shape of an existing box ex. Smarties box and design it for your product </li></ul>

Package decoration <ul><li>Colour your package with pencil crayon </li></ul><ul><li>Have the following on the package: </li></ul><ul><li>A name </li></ul><ul><li>A slogan </li></ul><ul><li>Bright colours </li></ul><ul><li>A UPC code </li></ul><ul><li>A nutrition label (see example) </li></ul>
