1. 1. Diploma in Interior Decoration and Design Schedule Munir A Memon Lecture, Drawing Class and Homework Assignment Tuesday Geometric object drawing Objective: Geometric perspective (sometimes called linear perspective) makes subjects in a drawing look like they recede into distant space, appearing smaller the farther they are away from you. Geometric perspective can also create the illusion that you are either above or below the subject of a drawing. Using geometric perspective makes your drawings appear three-dimensional (rather than flat), and more realistic.
2. 2. Diploma in Interior Decoration and Design Schedule Munir A Memon To get started with geometric perspective, you first need to acquaint yourself with the following: Horizon line Perspective lines Angular lines Vanishing point Material: Cansen Sheet Pencil: 2b, 4b, 6b Eraser Assignment/setting: Students drew two boxes Duration: 1 hour 30 mins

When lines are placed at an angle to one another, it is called cross-hatching. Hatching is important in linear media. Students will use the technique, varying the length, angle, closeness and other qualities of the lines, most commonly in drawing and linear painting Material: Cansen Sheet Pencil: 2b, 4b, 6b Eraser Assignment/setting: Space: IVS Common room. Students would do line hatching in class and cross hatching as homework. Duration: 1 hour 30 min
