    26. 26. Summary Attractive jobs <ul><li>Not surprisingly – people are looking for a new job at least on the position they are at the moment or higher. If to compare three countries, then in Estonia middle managers and directors are more ready to switch to a job on lower position than in any other country. At the same time the specialist (especially in Estonia) are interested in keeping the specialist status. </li></ul><ul><li>Non-workers, customer ser vice staff and laborers are in all countries mostly interested of jobs in higher positions </li></ul><ul><li>41% of Lithuanian respondents looking for a job as specialists or managers answered that they would be interested in working in general management – hierarchical career is more important there </li></ul><ul><li>In total approximately 30% of respondents are not interested in working abroad. Latvian respondents are mo re skeptic towards working abroad and Lithuanians are most opened to it </li></ul><ul><li>Lithuanian and Latvian respondents expect bigger salaries from working abroad - Estonians have smaller expectations on salaries abroad – 34% of them would go to work abroad if salaries are up to 100% bigger. The difference is due to different local wages </li></ul><ul><li>Generally speaking, Estonian and Latvia n employees have higher expectations on salaries than the Lithuanian people </li></ul><ul><li>In all three countries w omen expect clearly smaller salaries than men </li></ul>

Summary New employer/ New job <ul><li>The respondents i n all three countries value the salaries as the most important about new job </li></ul><ul><li>Salary was followed by work interest, self-improvement and career options. So though soft values are very important, one could not deny the importance of salary. </li></ul><ul><li>Companies endurance in long run is one of the most important things about new employer, as well as the positive image of company. </li></ul><ul><li>Latvians consider new employer social responsibility as the third most important aspect. </li></ul><ul><li>Respondents considered as the most attractive enterprises are mostly the big banks or big telecommunication companies, followed by some big international or national companies. </li></ul><ul><li>It is interesting, that Estonians considered two ministries to be very attractive working places. </li></ul>

Survey methodology Background of the respondents <ul><li>The survey mapped jobseekers expectations to new job and employer in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. </li></ul><ul><li>Based on the lists prepared by CVO Group and Fastleader.com in total 13720 invitations to participate were sent out and 4034 jobseekers answered (29% response rate) </li></ul><ul><li>Respondents were split as follows: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1569 from Estonia (3 5 % response rate) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>1056 from Latvia (25% response rate) and </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>1409 from Lithuania (28% response rate) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The survey was conducted in the form of an online survey, from October 24th till the November 3rd. </li></ul>
