  2. 2. Introduction • Fadi Bejjani, MD, PhD, built a highly successful career in medicine over the course of more than four decades and more recently in cell therapy. Also widely recognized as one of the pioneers of arts medicine, he currently serves as a senior consultant to Lifelong, an international cosmeceutical and nutraceuticals company. An active member of the professional community, Dr. Fadi “FJ” Bejjani has been a member of a number of organizations including the International Society for Stem Cell Research. Since its founding in 2002, the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) has served as a voice for the stem cell research community.

Membership Benefits • With more than 4,000 members from around the world, membership with the organization offers a wide range of benefits, some of which are discussed below. -Scientific advancement: Members of the ISSCR have access to a number of exclusive webcasts from experts around the world along with access to the organization’s official podcast, which often discusses new discoveries and breakthroughs in the field. Further, members can work directly with fellow scientists and professionals through committee involvement. -Public outreach: The ISSCR hosts a special website dedicated to providing the public with information on stem cell science and therapies and produces a Stem Cell Facts brochure that members can obtain for patients. The ISSCR also writes a patient handbook that members can distribute to anyone looking into stem cell treatment.
