Quintessence

  1. 1. Quintessence “Q” is the research of Excellence, its quintessence. For more than twenty years have been looking all over the world the very best cotton qualities. The result of our passion for quality results in “Q”, an extraordinary family of products that allowed Emilcotoni to become recognized wordwide as leader in high quality cotton yarns.
  2. 2. Q500 Emilcotoni created the finest cotton on earth, unique for strenght, structure and lightness. The raw material used is a special blend of Extra long staple cottons made expecially by Emilcotoni and named "Top blended Cotton" to spin the finest cotton available. One kg of this cotton contains 500 km of yarn. This means that with one kg of it you can link Milan and Rome together.
  3. 3. Sea Island Cotton Choosen by the English Crown as "the" cotton, the West Indian Sea Island Cotton is doubtless the best cotton in the world. The real West Indian Sea Island cotton, named in Latin “Gossypium Barbadense”, grows only in the best climatic conditions and it is cultivated only in the British West Indies. The West Indian Sea Island cotton, after being handpicked, is skilfully processed. This rare and expensive raw material is made by the longest cotton fibres available. Furthermore this cotton has the finest existing micronaire ranging around 3,00 and giving it its characteristic resistance, silky and shiny look. A sharp control system and a strong net of commercial partners guarantee the full authenticity of this rare and precious material. W.I.S.I.C.A. (West Indian Sea Island Cotton Association) controls on the premises very harvest kg and supplies its certificate of authenticity.
  4. 4. Q380 "Sottile Emozione", thin emotion. The original idea that led to Q 500. Using the longest fibres available with the COM4 compact spinning system and a special twisting technology, we create a yarn with exceptional resistance, strenght and structure. This yarn belongs to the Q and Wear family and, also if a 100% cotton, it behaves like a cotton/elastic blend making it suitable to both flat and seamless knitting machines.
  5. 5. Giza 45 Quality, brightness, high resistance, extra long and superfine fibres. Its rarity made him famous among the cottons from Egypt. The raw material used by Emilcotoni to produce its Giza 45 come exclusively from selected Egyptian Giza 45 bales. This fiber, known as the kind of Egyptian cotton is hand picked and then spun with special machines: exceptional lenght and brightness (very similar to silk) give to this yarn the handfeel and look of a top quality product.
  6. 6. Suvin A true rarity. The Indian Suvin is an extra long staple cotton with an extremely long and fine fiber. Together with the West Indian Sea Island Cotton and the Egyptian Giza 45, the Indian Suvin is considered one of the best cottons in the world . The origin of this yarn is the breeding of the famous Gossypium barbedense in India in the late thirties but only in 1971, after countless hybridations, the Indian Suvin was born from the crossing between the Sujata and the SIV 35 qualities.
  7. 7. SuperPiuma Selected from the best ELS fibers, this cotton is what the Egyptians called the white gold. Some years ago, Emilcotoni and an important egyptian cotton grower undertook the challenge of creating a very high quality cotton and the result is Superpiuma. In a small area of the Nile's delta a special quality of cotton with the characteristic of Giza 45 and Suvin is grown on behalf of Emilcotoni; the result of this fields is the raw material that lies inside our Superpiuma .
  8. 8. Supima Superwash Supima Superwash is a top quality american cotton engineered by Emilcotoni to have an extraordinary resistance to water. A cotton with extreme performances, this is what Emilcotoni's Superwash is. It is born from an extra long staple Supima Cotton (just the 3% of the total Supima production) grown in Texas, Arizona and California. These materials are spun with particular machines and techniques, resulting in a yarn highly resistant to water.
  9. 9. Active High tecnology cotton that maintains the bode temperature at a constant level making garments very confortable and dry. Emilcotoni's Active is an innovative yarn that produces high frequency long infrared rays at a temperature between 34 and 37 degrees. The ceramic micro parts ensembled in Active absorb energy and give it back to the body as heat: this is generated by water molecules of our body that produce and exchange heat with the fabric. The result is a pleasant sensation of dryness and confort all over the body.
  10. 10. Tune Winter without wool, a cotton for winter extremely soft, warm and very confortable. A special spinning system and a intimate blend of 86% ELS cotton and 14% PBT give to this yarn an handfeel similar to cashmere and 40% less weight compared to a cotton of similar count. Tune is the evolution of winter cottons, guaranteeing its confort also in the coldest season.
  11. 11. Peruvian Pima Emilcotoni selects the best bales of Peruvian Pima to produce its Peruvian Pima cotton. Thanks to a long term experience in cotton fibre selection, Emilcotoni is able to choose and spin an extraordinary Pima cotton yarn certified by Pimax.
  12. 12. Ice Crêpe Thanks to a long experience in producing voile and crêpe yarns, Emilcotoni develops a new and innovative yarn, "Ice crêpe®" Using the best cotton fibres on the market and specific spinning techniques, Emilcotoni created its "Ice crêpe ® ", an extremely fresh yarn. Only by mechanical means an inimitable fresh feeling is given to this yarn, this sensation is directly transmitted to the garment and its wearer. Knitting this yarn in the right way, all the garments produced with it can be evaluated with the Japanese Qmax test.
  13. 13. Four Seasons 75% els cotton, 20% silk, 5% white cashmere skillfully blended. The all season yarn is born Constant research and precious raw materials blended with the best cottons: today Emilcotoni offers to its customer an intimate blended cotton-cashmere-silk with an excellent quality/price ratio. It is a yarn suitable for all seasons, from Autumn to Spring. Soft, elastic, shiny and precious with unique characteristics.
  14. 14. Baby Island The art of choosing. Emilcotoni mixes and skilfully blends two top raw materials for a high range yarn. Our certified Wisica sea island cotton is blended to the finest cahsmere, around 13 microns. Suitable for extreme gauges knitting, fineness and softness are the distinctive traits that give this yarn a plus, making it an all season top choice.
  15. 15. Elisir Shiny and soft, THE one and only cotton/silk. First to realise and sell an intimate cotton/silk blend, we produced a superfine yarn using particular extra long staple cotton and first quality Mulberry silk. Our long dyeing experience enriches a blend of selected raw materials to create a unique, elegant and modern product.
  16. 16. Silky Linen and silk, two ancient and noble materials blended to create a unique and unmatched product. 55% Mulberry silk and 45% linen spun together, gassed and dyed with our long experience will give birth to unique and precious garments.
  17. 17. Cashcotton The best Egyptian cottons spun with knowledge, quality and new technologies blend together with the best 38mm white cashmere originating a blend of softness and lightness. Two types available, 15% and 50% cashmere, two counts in solid and melange colours. An Emilcotoni essential that has earned his place in the Quintessence range.
