2. What is a Multi-Modal text?
The word ‘Multi-Modal’ simply means ‘to have more than one mode’.
Therefore, a Multi-Modal text is any text (TV programme, film, commercial
etc) that communicates messages to the audience using a variety of
different modes.
A film trailer is an excellent example of a Multi-Modal text, as it
communicates messages to audience in many different modes, such as;
written text, on screen spoken language, moving images, music and sound
effects.

appealing and attractive, improving the overall quality of
