  1. 1. Technology is the making, usage, and knowledge oftools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems or methods oforganization in order to solve a problem or perform aspecific function. Recent technologicaldevelopments, including the printing press, thetelephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriersto communication and allowed humans to interact freely ona global scale. However, not all technology has been usedfor peaceful purposes; the development of weapons of ever-increasing destructive power has progressed throughouthistory. As nuclear weapons.
  2. 2. HTC has launched a new flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One X, atthe Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The majority of mobile giantshad their announcements before the actual start of the MWC -- includingSamsung, LG and Sony. The device also brings a vastly improved cameraexperience, called Image Sense. The camera takes photos quickly -- in0.7 seconds. It has 8 megapixels and uses an f/2.0 lens, which capturesmore light than any other HTC smartphone camera. It also takes greatphotos in unfavorable light conditions, thanks to the devices HDRalgorithm. The company also launched two other HTC One devices withslightly lower specs -- the HTC One S and the HTC One V. All threedevices should be hitting the market in the next two months, likely in April.
  3. 3. The history of technology is the historyof the invention of tools andtechniques, and is similar in manyways to the history of humanity. Background knowledge has enabledpeople to create new things, andconversely, many scientific endeavorshave become possible throughtechnologies which assist humans totravel to places we could not otherwisego, and probe the nature of theuniverse in more detail than our naturalsenses allow.
  4. 4. Landing on the Moon20th century technology developed rapidly. Due to the scientificgains directly tied to military research anddevelopment, technologies including electronic computingmight have developed as rapidly as they did in part due to war.Radio, radar, and early sound recording were key technologieswhich paved the way for the telephone, fax machine, andmagnetic storage of data
  5. 5. In the early 21st century, the main technology being developedis electronics. Broadband Internet access becamecommonplace in developed countries, as did connecting homecomputers with music libraries and mobile phones.Biotechnology is a relatively new field that holds yet unknownpossibilities. Spacecraft designs are also being developed, likethe Orion. The James Webb Space Telescope will try to identifyearly galaxies as well as the exact location of the Solar Systemwithin our galaxy, using the infrared spectrum. The finishedInternational Space Station will provide an intermediateplatform for space missions and zero gravity experiments.Despite challenges and criticism, NASA and ESA plan amanned mission to Mars in the 2030s.
