WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR IN THE CARIBBEAN? • Used the FAO methodology to start estimating food losses • Trained >500 persons – sensitized many more at the technical and policy levels • We do a lot already without realizing it – every country that exports produce has GAPs that include harvest and postharvest issues • What is needed: quantification and implementation of good practices
