Requirements General requirements = the import procedures to respect (customs declarations, commercial invoice, freight insurance, etc) Specific requirements on what the product, its label and its packaging needs to fulfill for EU market access (health and safety, technical standards, labelling & packaging, food safety, product-specific marketing standards, etc) Harmonised for all 28 Member States

Open the search box.  Browse the classification tree or type a keyword.  Check the customs code for your product.  Define your product, the exporting country and the importing country.
  16. 16. How to search? Exercise The results for your product are there: Check 'Requirements': - the health, safety or technical standards your product needs to meet Check 'Internal taxes': - the VAT or excise duties for your product in the importing country.

Example: Use of geographical names After 7 years from the entry into force of the Agreement, comparable products originating in Ukraine will no longer be able to be designated or labeled as: • Parmigiano Reggiano • Roquefort • Feta Example: Rules of Origin In order to qualify for preferential market access under the DCFTA, Ukrainian enterprises need to ensure their products are classified as originating. To qualify as originating, either all the materials and components must be sourced from Ukraine or the following rules apply: – Manufacture in which all the materials of Chapter 4 used are wholly obtained No exceptions.
