  5. 5. eHealth Philippines: Goals By 2015 • Patients' PhilHealth eligibility can be determined upon presentation in an accredited health facility • Availability of smart healthcare systems that recognizes risks and prevents progression into adverse events - Providers are alerted of high-risk patients - Data sets are mined for new risk parameters • Academe and professional organizations are able to equip professionals with eHealth knowledge and skills • All health facilities will have access to relevant information for decision-making

Standards and Interoperability • Latest actions: – Appointment of a PMO Team Leader – Commissioning of • Health Data Standards Expert Group • Health Data Privacy Expert Group – Creation of eHealth Knowledge Management System/portal (www.ehealth.ph as portal, managed by DOST-PCHRD through Ateneo de Manila University - IPC) – Approval for the creation of R&D Experts Group, Policy Experts Group, mHealth experts group – Accept offers of international consultants (at no cost to GoP) and in compliance with existing guidelines for international support

Standards and Interoperability • Agreement – Prioritize the implementation of the Philippine Health Information Exchange because this enables all the other subsequent projects (PHIE Product Team led by PMO) The PHIE will create a better (and cheaper) operational environment for all the other eHealth projects (data warehouse, mHealth, NCD registry, iClinicSys, iHOMIS, etc)
