There are 101 reasons why you might need to remove, change or add a user or administrator, maybe it’s a new colleague, changing responsibilities or a different email address. Updating Google Analytics is fairly straightforward, except if it’s your own details that need to be edited.

The powerpoint below shows you how to update your Admin accounts in Google Analytics so you can access it using your new details.

  2. 2. VisionClick sign in to login to your Google Analytics account.
  3. 3. VisionFill in the login fields and click sign in.
  4. 4. VisionWhen you are logged in, go to the admin dashboard.
  5. 5. In the admin dashboard, select the account that you would like Vision to edit.
  6. 6. VisionIn the account section, click on the users tab.
  7. 7. You will now see an overview of all the administrators and users for the account. As you can see, you can edit Visiondetails of all administrators and users, except the details that you used to login with. To get around this, simply add a new user and/or email address to the list first by clicking ‘Add a New User’ or the ‘+ New User’ button.
  8. 8. VisionFill in your new email address, select the role administrator and click the Create User button. (A user has ‘read only’ access.)
  9. 9. VisionYou can see that the new email address has been added to the list. Now it’s time to logout and log back in again using the details that you have just added.
