Penguin Parade Accessibility

  1. 1. Penguin Parade facilities provide an inclusive experience for people of all abilities.
  2. 2. A large disabled parking area is located in car park 1 or at the top of coach parking. Each bay is 3.5 metres in width.
  3. 3. The front entrance has a ramp with handrails.
  4. 4. Ramped access is available throughout the visitor centre.
  5. 5. Interpretive displays can be viewed from wheelchair height.
  6. 6. A courtesy buggy is available for those requiring assistance to the Penguin Parade viewing areas.
  7. 7. Connecting boardwalks are wide, level and smooth. The slope to general viewing is 1 in 12.
  8. 8. General viewing has a designated area for wheelchairs at the top.
  9. 9. The Penguins Plus area affords prime penguin viewing and easy wheelchair access.
  10. 10. Underground Viewing has a designated access area for wheelchairs offering eye level viewing.
