Eric Gallite Is The First One In The Office And The Last To Leave

  1. 1. Eric Gallite Is The First One In The Office And The Last To Leave Someone once said; you don’t need a title to be a leader. Eric Gallite believes it to be 100% true. To him, leadership is about showing rather than shouting orders behind a wooden table. He believes that if you want to lead people, you don’t care about the flashy title. You care about getting things done while helping your team grow. You are not afraid of people leaving you when they learn under your lead; you are happy to help and know that if one goes, someone better comes along. The gist is, you stay in the front line and take action. Your team sees you doing things by yourself, which motivates them to follow your footsteps. This is the reason why Eric regularly gets up early and arrives at the office early. He is also the last one to leave because he knows that this will set an example for his team to follow. He doesn’t want them to do overtime, but rather, be more productive. This is the reason that he is the last one to leave. He ensures that everyone gets office on time and leaves on time; nobody should be left behind. Eric believes that’s what really means to be a leader. Being a Leader Means Approachable: Leading doesn’t mean that you stay in the frontline and make it difficult for people in the last row to approach you. Being a leader means that anyone in your team can learn from you. If someone is in the last row, they need you the most, they need your exposure, they need your advice and they need to observe how you do things. This will help them become better and more productive. One of the reasons Eric arrives at his office before everyone and leaves after everyone is that it makes him more approachable. Due to his experience, vision, and philosophy about life, many of his team members like to get his advice in business matters. If he is there to listen and advise them, it makes his team feel they can rely on him, and that earns him their loyalty. Being Present Helps You Oversee Everything:
  2. 2. Another reason why Eric is always there in his office among his employees is that he likes to keep an eye on everything. Every process, every project, and everything his employees are doing. It’s not like he has trust issues; he simply does this so that everyone knows they are monitored continuously. This makes them stay active and stay productive. If you are not under the supervision of someone responsible and self-motivated, you will quickly become lazy, and procrastination will take the place of productivity; that’s what destroys careers. Eric doesn’t want this to happen to his employees, he is a leader in the truest sense of the word, and that’s why he wants to keep his team sharp and make them go-getters in every walk of life.
