some visual highlights from my portfolio (2004-2016)
DiVino Museo
Terricciola (Pisa, Italy), 2004
Assignment by the local government for the creation and
design of a Wine Museum. I presented an idea of Echo-
museum, through a multi-disciplinar feasibility studio, called
DiVino Museo, which was immediately accepted by the mayor
and his council. A Foundation around the idea was started,
together with the main winemakers of the area plus
internationally famous wine companies like Fratelli Lunelli
(Ferrari), La Spinetta and Castellani Wine.
I created and developed the whole concept, designed all
the online and offline (printed) communication materials
and planned the marketing strategy.
PisaUnicaTerra
Pisa, Italy - 2007/2009
The Province of Pisa contacted me for the assignment of a
massive project about the rebranding of the entire area,
following the arrival of low cost flight companies at the Pisa’s
airport Galileo Galilei and tackling the need to let tourists visit
and enjoy not only Pisa and its tower but also its splendid
surroundings. I designed the entire project, from the
communication campaign (and all its online and offline -
printed - materials) to a feasibility studio about networking
of all the production departments of the area which were
linked to tourism and lifestyle in general, like hotels and
hospitality in general, transports, restaurants, food&wine,
agriculture, natural parks, yacht clubs and so on. A new
unifying brand was created, PisaUnicaTerra, which had to
represent a quality label on every certified product/service. I’ve
redesigned as well every info point in Pisa and through the
entire territory, including the one at the airport, right in front to
the arrivals. In 2009 the web portal pisaunicaterra.it replaced
the Official Government Tourism Office of Pisa (APT) and since
then on it’s been an one stop referral point for whoever from all
over the world would like to know about Pisa and its territory. in
5 years from the practical application of the measures
designed by my feasibility studio, the Gross Domestic Product
of Pisa and its province boosted up till +38%.

DiVino
Pisa, Italy - 2008
In 2007 I’ve been asked to redesign, produce and organise
PisaVini’s 2008 edition, the one and only official wine event in
Tuscany. I’ve rebranded it into DiVino and turned it into a real
wine fair on Vinitaly’s footsteps, integrating PisaUnicaTerra’s
guidelines about interiors, communication and innovation.
Another stunning success inside the splendid Stazione
Leopolda in Pisa, the city’s old railway station.
I created and developed the whole concept, designed all
the online and offline (printed) communication materials
and planned the marketing strategy.
I also co-produced the whole event.
Tracce di Tartufo
Pisa, Italy - 2008
In June 2008 I designed and produced Tracce di Tartufo, an
event which took place at Pisa’s Airport Galileo Galilei Terrace
Plaza, involving a selection of the best white truffle specialised
restaurants, the Tourism High School of Pisa Giacomo
Matteotti, the Province of Pisa and the National Truffle
Association. On a 12 meters long semicircular widescreen we
back-beamed a video we produced, which was showing how
the truffle is originated, how it develops and how it’s found,
while the students of the Giacomo Matteotti’s institute were
passing by with wooden boxes filled up with the aromas of the
underwoods. That was what I’d named Sensorama, recalling
the famous experiments by Morton Heilig in the 50s.
I created and developed the whole concept, designed all
the online and offline (printed) communication materials
and planned the marketing strategy.
I entirely produced the event.
Fiabesque
Peccioli (Pisa, Italy) - 2004/2013
In cooperation with my partners, I designed this Festival for
children and families in general, which would take place on
every Sunday in December and have its clue moment on
January the 6th, the day of La Befana. We would turn the
village into the Fairy Tales Town and stage theatrical shows,
animation, music and lots of other activities all over the place.
The entire community was enthusiastic about the idea, and the
Festival just started in 2004. It went on until 2013, when the
local government could not afford anymore the production’s
costs and suspended it. Started as a local event, Fiabesque
turned into an international entity, inspiring similar operations
all over the world and helping connecting cultures and
people. It’s been one of the greatest experiences in my whole
life, not only professionally speaking, and I’ll always remember
the magic of it, and with me the 150.000 and more people who
had the privilege of experiencing it. I’m also the co-author of
the book Fiabesque, la Città delle Fiabe: Il fantastico nella
progettazione degli eventi, published in Italy by Gangemi in
2006.

MateriaLab
Pisa, Rome, Amsterdam - 2007/2010
Since 2007 I was promoting a cultural association within my
activity, with the goal of producing items like theatrical pieces,
movies and other cultural products. I’ve called it MateriaLab,
and it’s first production has been La Fiaba delle Fiabe (The
Fairy Tale of Fairy Tales), street art theatrical piece which was
staged for the first time during Fiabesque 2007. A theatrical
workshop, based on a concept script I wrote, involving a
director and a few professional performers plus just normal
people with a passion for theatre, produced a show which was
intended to be performed through the streets of Peccioli. Due
to its stunning success, the piece was represented as well in
Livorno, staging the same crew which called themselves
FiabesqueLab, during Effetto Venezia 2008 and later on in
Croatia, by the yearly Fairy Tales Festival dedicated to Ivana
Brlic Mazuranic in Slavonski Brod. Then I co-produced other
two fairy tales inspired musicals, together with TodoModo
MusicAll: Pinocchio Superstar and Alice di Carta.
I designed and crafted all the online and offline (printed)
communication materials and planned the marketing
strategy.
HUMUS
Montefoscoli (Pisa, Italy) - 2008
MateriaLab produced also HUMUS, a 3 days kermesse by the
huge Gaslini’s villa in Montefoscoli, yet in Pisa’s
province. HUMUS should have been the first step of another
visionary project about a school of sciences and arts in the
Tuscan countryside, with people coming from all over the
world, following the concept of Renaissance Academies and
aiming to train multi-skilled figures in more disciplines at the
same time, in order to deliver a kind of education based on
the Da Vinci’s model.
I created and developed the whole concept, designed and
crafted all the online and offline (printed) communication
materials and planned the marketing strategy.
I entirely produced the event.
ZMG (Zard Media Group)
Rome, Amsterdam - 2008/2014
In 2008 David Zard, all times greatest Italian music producer,
was just heading to the 8th year in a row with the astounding
success of Notre Dame de Paris, the Italian version of the
famous French musical. That’s when he asked me to follow the
whole Internet and Social Media strategy for this and all his
other productions. I started again crafting mockups and setting
up CMSs (Joomla at that time), with the help of my quite wide
international network of collaborators. Notre Dame de Paris,
Tosca Amore Disperato, Dracula in Love and later on
Romeo & Giulietta.
For all those shows I’ve been producing all the related
digital media and managing their dynamic content and
Social Media Marketing.
Explora
The Children Museum of Rome - 1999/2014
I studied and produced, together with a team of architects, the
entire user experience of Explora, the Children’s Museum of
Rome, and I’ve also won the public competition for the
assignment of their logo & corporate image’s design. It was
1999. The museum opened in 2000 and till 2014 I’ve been
designing and developing their website and their entire
online marketing strategy.

ItaliëThuis
Wormerveer, The Netherlands - 2011 till now
ItaliëThuis (Italy by your home, in Dutch) is about selling
digital media packages to Italian producers selected by the
excellence in their sector and promoting them abroad, starting
with the Netherlands, and selling their products too via e-
commerce on a dedicated portal. The packages included the
production of digital media like videos and landing pages, then
of course their presence in our web shop and as advanced
features their presence in promotional events and fairs here in
NL. I applied the principles of transmedia storytelling to the
scripts I was proposing to my customers, placing the videos in
a wider perspective where the company’s story would have
been told by using digital media AND other supports, also
“analogical” ones, like tastings, events, markets. Thanks to the
help of a few friends-collaborators both in NL and in Italy, I
could manage to collect a few Italian companies as customers
and started producing the digital promotion material, from
filming and editing movies to the design of their presence in
ItaliëThuis’ portal. At the end of 2012 italiethuis.nl was ready
and I arranged a presentation event in the center of
Amsterdam, whose title was (of course) DiVino 2012.
http://www.italiethuis.nl
https://vimeo.com/channels/italiethuisnederland
I created and developed the whole concept, designed and
crafted all the online and offline (printed) communication
materials and planned the marketing strategy.
I entirely produced DiVino 2012 and all the other events
since then.
Sensation - Into the Wild
Bologna, Italy - 2014
I worked in cooperation with an international team, ID&T and
Mistica Music (the Italian producer) on the design and
deployment of a Transmedia Marketing campaign
The project was completely ideated by me and developed
under the supervision of the marketing department at ID&T (at
those times Michael Monshouwer and Thom Bartelse).
I produced all the graphical and textual content and then
published it on different channels, like social media (Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram), YouTube and needed it to all the bloggers
who were in the team.
On request I can provide an excerpt of the feasibility studio I
wrote for ID&T and Mistica Music.
I created and developed the whole Transmedia concept,
designed and crafted all the online communication
materials and contributed to plan the marketing strategy.
Cirque du Soleil -Amaluna
Rome, Italy - 2017
In cooperation with Cirque du Soleil house quarters in
Montreal and with Asset Events, the Italian producer, I am
currently developing all the printed and online graphics for the
communication and marketing needs of the whole event and its
promotion campaign, starting on November the 9th after the
press conference.
Together with Patrice Boudreault (Art Director) and Montserrat
Adam Salvatierra (Senior Manager Sales & Marketing
International Touring Shows) and Massimo Fregnani (General
Manager at Asset Events) I am crafting every single graphic
item and following the print process till delivery.
I am crafting all the online and printed communication
materials, leading the approval process and following all
the printing and publishing processes.

These are a a few highlights: https://vimeo.com/53867349 https://vimeo.com/49925394 https://vimeo.com/54405960 https://youtu.be/uQWz0CyA74E I develop edthe script, sketched the storyboard, direct ed or did directly the filming and or created the animated (2D) graphics, then through Final Cut Pro X, Motion and After Effects I took care of post production.
