PUNCH LIST FOR BOILER COMMISSIONING
Iraq site yesterday (18-12-2022) on a video call. / Mr. Rustom – Forbes Marshall / Mr. Abbas - HGC
Following was checked in your steam boiler house;
• Both Boiler flue gas ducts, dampers etc were checked for connections, etc.
• Both Feed water complete circuit from feed water tank to boiler feed water pumps, etc.
• Both Fuel oil lines from DOT to both steam boilers along with return lines, etc.
• Both steam Boilers mountings, fittings were checked, etc.
• Steam lines from both steam boiler up to common header, etc was checked.
• Condensate pump and feed water tank deaerator head was also checked.
Request you to kindly attend the following;
➢ Both Feed water pump discharge line PG siphon gauge cocks placement to be changed.
➢ FWT to be cleaned & checked.
➢ Both feed water lines to be thoroughly flushed at site, by opening strainers, etc.
➢ Both Feed water line strainers before FW pumps, to be checked for 80 # mesh size only, if not please arrange.
➢ Feed water tank insulation to be done, once the FW is filled & water leakage if any is checked.
➢ Water Softening Plant needs to be commissioned and only soft water needs to be used at site in both steam
boilers to avoid scaling & other issues, etc.
➢ For both Boiler fuel oil lines, request you to install 1 no of ball valve in return line of both steam boilers after
the NRV. This will help you in case of any NRV failure / or any leakage from flanges, etc in future.
➢ DOT tank to be cleaned and checked before filling HSD / LDO.
➢ Both Boiler fuel incoming lines to be flushed from DOT tank to inlet of fuel pump / flexible hose pipe.
➢ Safety valve drain pipes installed 1 no union to be arranged as discussed, as removing the same in future will be
easy.
➢ Air vent valve horizontal pipe clamping needs to be done, of both steam boilers.
➢ SS Drain pipes – 5 nos connectors to be installed and connected in a common drain pipe and this pipe to be laid
upto the drain for both steam boilers, as discussed.
➢ Blowdown valves horizontal pipes to be supported and rigidly clamped as shown, of both steam boilers.
➢ Blowdown valve pipes of both steam boilers, to be taken separately to a common blowdown pit.
➢ If these BD pipes are connected to SS blowdown vessel, proper separate NRV’s to be installed / designed before
the Blowdown vessel.
➢ All FM piston valves installed on your steam boilers, steam header, etc needs to be lubricated at site before
commissioning.
➢ Condensate line discharge from FM-PPPPU installed on FW Deaerator head to be checked for connection as
discussed.
➢ Feed water line which is to be installed for filling make up water, should be connected to Deaerator Head as
discussed.
➢ Steam lines and steam header to be flushed with steam, accordingly.
➢ Electrical earthing to be provided on both steam boiler and main electrical panels & same to be checked at site.
