WorkCenter essentially mitigates the efforts in navigation and maintenance of pages and tasks. It provides an intuitive, homepage like view of navigation, tasks, reports or queries, analytics, and transactions that a user may use throughout his or her day. Centralizing all activities for the user by streamlining and organizing all their daily work onto one page.

The development of PeopleSoft WorkCenter is the result of PeopleSoft’s growing advancement in providing portal capabilities to simplify tasks for its users. The concept of WorkCenter can be traced back to PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal where developers can create pagelets using templates, PeopleCode and Pagelet Wizard to simplify tasks at hand.
