Pitch for the synopsis of my opening sequence, Goodbye Sailor
Either a romantic drama or a ‘chick-flick’
Romance: Romantic films are generally light-hearted, possibly funny and focuses the storyline on the romantic involvement of
of the main characters.
Romantic Drama: A romantic drama’s storyline may be more testing and is hesitant to reveal whether or not the relationship
will definitely last, or even exist.
Chick Flick: Chick flicks are more light hearted than romantic dramas, and are typically aimed at female audiences. They don't
necessarily have romance as their main films.
Typical conventions of a romance genre include: couple, gifts, flowers, Birthday, hearts, and are
generally aimed at female audiences.
