ABOUT… • Oldham Enterprise Trust is a CIO, charitable incorporated organisation • Dedicated to helping Oldham residents into enterprise and employability • Aimed at people thinking of starting a business, or those within their first two years of trading • Launched in 2012, through the Get Oldham Working initiative • Financially supported by the Stoller Charitable Trust

HOW… • Provides a one stop portal to start-up and growth companies, allowing them to access the wide range of business funding that is available • Through grant and low-cost loans • Offers free business advice and support, through workshops on topics like, business plans and cash flows, etc. and one to one sessions with business advisors

MY ROLE… • Employed as an Administrative Assistant • November 2019 – May 2020 • Responsibilities included: - Handling applicant applications and personal information - Communicating with applicants and associates - Answering and resolving phone queries - Leading meeting and group discussions - Organising and running events - Recording the minutes from meetings - Social media managing

SKILLS IN RELATION TO THE COURSE… • Numeracy - Handling numerical and financial data • Public speaking - Conversing using technical and scientific terminology suited to varying age categories • Teamwork - Working collaboratively to plan and arrange events • Organisation - Using time wisely to work in the most productive manner • Administration - Working with spreadsheets, constructing emails and newsletters
