Catalog: title search

  1. Using the Library Catalog Searching by Title
  2. Step 1 Select “Title” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Step 2 OType the exact title into the search box. ONote: If you do not remember the exact title, try searching Google or Amazon first. Then copy and paste the title into the catalog search box.
  4. Step 3 OAt this point, you will either: OBe taken to a page of information specific to that item. OR OBe taken to a list of possible results. If your item is there, click on it.
  5. The Item Record O Location and Status: If the location is “Aiken” and the status is “Available”, you can check it out. O Call Number: Corresponds to the book’s location on the shelf. You will either need to: O Write down the Call Number O Send it to yourself as a Text Message
  6. Finding the Item OAsk someone at either the Reference or Circulation Desks to show you how to find an item on the shelf. We’re happy to help!
  7. Checking Out Items OOnce you’ve found the item you’re looking for, you can check it out at the Circulation Desk, using your student ID card.
