3. Introduction
• An architect in San Francisco named Harold
Wagner passed away in 1976 and left his
collection of murals from an ancient Mexican
city (Teotihuacan) to the Fine Arts Museum.
• This donation held not only historical
significance because they were from the pre-
Columbian era of 400 to 700 AD.
• The collection contains around seventy fragile
conditioned pieces.
• Main issues are proper curatorship, ownership,
and effects upon relations between Mexico and
the United States.

8. Conclusion
The three types of intervention method:
• 1) Arbitration which was like the use of a figure with
power like a Judge who hears both sides of the
negotiations and makes the final decision without
consulting any party.
• 2) Meditation and this was with a third party listening to
both parties and trying to help both parties to reach an
agreement. The mediator cannot make the final decision
for the negotiators.
• 3) Process consultation by a consultant who is skilled in
consulting with clients. This tends to be desired strategy
because of the consulting process is thorough, taking
the process step by step. The contingency plan is to
have an escape plan when things do not work out in a
negotiation.
