The ACT Foundation/CcHUB EdTech Fellowship was designed to train young
undergraduates and graduates of Education and Education Technology, practical
Edtech skills by designing and developing contextually relevant digital learning
resources that align with the needs of the African educational sector.
The EdTech Fellowship commenced in August 2021 and ran for 7 months with 41
students from Education Faculties in Institutions of Higher Learning in Nigeria and
Kenya. During the Fellowship, 27 teachers were impacted directly and 270
students indirectly.
The overall aim of the Fellowship was to contribute to a thriving EdTech ecosystem
on the continent through the creation of human-centered digital learning resources
and to introduce to the Edtech Ecosystem a team of well-trained, Edtech
Instructional Designers.
The end products of the 7 months of Fellowship and Design were 6 Digital
Prototypes from the 19 outstanding fellows whose professional profiles are
detailed in this portfolio.
