2. Eckankar’s Tenets
Since its modern-day revival in the 1960s,
Eckankar has helped bring love and wisdom
to thousands of people worldwide.
Chief among Eckankar’s tenets is the idea
that Soul not only communicates with God
but that it is independent of the physical
body and can travel to different spiritual
realms.
3. The Viewpoint of Soul
Not a physical experience, Soul Travel is the
process of regaining the viewpoint of Soul,
which is often smothered by the weight of
everyday experiences and emotions.
Through study and contemplative practice,
people can develop Soul Travel as a natural
ability without the necessity of austerities,
customs, or diets.
4. Spiritual Exercise
One such spiritual exercise, which can help a person
grow in confidence and compassion, is the chanting or
singing of a holy name of God, HU.
After finding a quiet place to sit, contemplate on thoughts
of love and spirituality before singing the name, HU,
(pronounced “hue”) for a few minutes with closed eyes.
Often, people discover new life insights or experience a
divine moment.
Repeating the exercise every day strengthens its effects
and can lead one to greater feelings of spirituality.
