Please read these installation instructions in their entirety BEFORE you attempt to install the Roof Shades. Roof Shades for Model S has been designed to reduce heat input through the panoramic roof of Model S. We’ve created an Installation Video that can be viewed at evannex.com. We strongly recommend that you view it BEFORE you install Roof Shades. IMPORTANT: Roof Shades have been designed for the Model S Panoramic Roof only. They will NOT properly fit the “all glass roof” available for 2016 – 2017 Model S vehicles. Quick Start Installation Steps: Tools suggested: none. Step 1. Remove the roof shades from their storage bag and unfold them. Note that the shades have a spring- loaded frame and will snap into place once unfolded. Step 2. Identify the forward and rear Roof Shades. The forward Roof Shade (the one the fits directly over the front seats) has a slightly curved front-facing edge. The rear Roof Shade is rectangular in shape. Step 3. Install the forward Roof Shade into the perimeter “slot” that can be found under the glass of the pano roof, being certain the curved front edge faces the front of the vehicle. Tuck the Roof Shade frame into the corners of the pano roof opening, folding the frame slightly to make the installation easy. Step 4. Install the rear Roof Shade into the perimeter “slot” that can be found under the glass of the pano roof in the rear. Tuck the Roof Shade frame into the corners of the pano roof opening, folding the frame slightly to make the installation easy. Roof Shades are now ready for use. Removal: Roof Shades can be removed by pulling the Roof Shade frame out of the perimeter slot. They can then be folded and placed in their storage bag.
