By definition, abortion is the termination of a pregnancy before the foetus is visible or capable of living outside the womb 2. e termination of pregnancy, resulting in the death of the foetus People usually have strong feeling about abortion: Pro-Life = In favour of life and opposed to abortion because a baby is murdered. Pro-Choice = the mother’s body belongs to her, and abortion is her choice English Language Level B2 Lesson 14

READING  I am Pro-Life… (against Abortion) Here are things I believe as a Pro-Life person: I believe that abortion is not safe.  I believe that abortion is a war on the unborn I believe that the unborn child is human.  (Electrical brain waves have been recorded as early as forty days.) I believe life begins at conception.  ( e heartbeat begins on the 21st day after conception.) Answer these questions: 1. Do you agree with these views? 3. What do you disagree with? 2.   7. 7. READING  I am Pro-Choice Here is what I believe: e foetus is not a human, just a mass of tissue Abortion is safer than childbirth. Every child should be a wanted child. Nobody has the right to impose their morals on me. A woman should be able to control her own body. Abortion must be kept legal, especially for all the rape and incest pregnancies. If abortion is outlawed women will be forced to go to back-alley abortion clinics.  English Language Level B2 Lesson 14
