  2. 2. <ul><li>There are new orientations regarding the evaluation of student learning. </li></ul><ul><li>These new orientations provide guidelines for evaluation as set out in the QEP (Quebec Education Program) Amendments to the Basic School Regulation for Preschool, Elementary and Secondary Education </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>THE CURRICULUM HAS NOT CHANGED. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Fewer results to record and communicate </li></ul><ul><li>The need for a standard across the province </li></ul><ul><li>Simplification and clarification for parents </li></ul><ul><li>Response to public concern </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Marks will continue to appear in percentages. </li></ul><ul><li>Parents will receive the standards and procedures for evaluation (generated by the school). </li></ul><ul><li>Each term will be weighted. </li></ul><ul><li>Compulsory exams will also be weighted. </li></ul>

D The student is experiencing serious difficulties. The student does not meet the program expectations. Mark Summary (end of year) 4 Your child meets expectations. 5 Your child occasionally meets expectations. 6 Your child does not meet expectations.
