Know more the impact that Raahgiri Day – Apni Rahen, Apni Azaadi - temporarily closing certain stretches of road space to automobiles and opening them to people - has created in Gurgaon. Raaghiri day creates a whole new safe, healthy, eco-friendly and vibrant city street experience. Streets are public assets, but on most days are monopolized by cars, two-wheelers, trucks etc. This movement is an attempt to prioritize cyclists and pedestrians in Gurgaon; to build a city with bicycle paths and pedestrian avenues interwoven through its urban landscape.
