Most of the resources you will be looking at are brought to you by the Library, but a couple are open access such as Trendhunter and British Library and IP Centre.
Access the library resources by logging on to MyUniHub > MyStudy > MyLibrary > Databases.
You will all be looking for different types of information, so I’m going to let you explore the resources during the session.
Have a look at the handout which tells you more about the resources, how to access them and provides a few suggestions/pointers to what you can do with each resource.
Most of the resources we’ve been looking at are provided by MDX, so once you leave the uni you will no longer have access to them.
However for those remaining in London you can use the City Business Library which provides free access to some of the same and other business resources.
CBL also offer free business start-up advice and host a range of events for a small fee.
For those who won’t be in London, you can pay a small subscription fee to remotely access the resources at the City Business Library.
The Prince’s Trust has helped many young people (18-30) start their own business and they offer a free regional enterprise programme with an online alternative.
